Taste
A complex, delicate and most elegant wine, with the fruity aromas of pear, plum and apple. A hint of cedar wood and cigar. The wine is made using modern vinification techniques and is left to mature for 20 months in American oak barrels and for several months after bottling. This shows how well this superb wine can be preserved and what quality it must have obtained!

A flavoursome suggestion
An ideal companion for different kinds of red meat (roasted and grilled) and wild game. This wine goes excellent with mature cheese.

About this wine
In the heart of Spain’s best known wine region DOC Rioja, lies the estate of Ramón Bilbao in the Rioja Alta area, a wine house with a long history that dates back to the beginning of the last century. In this estate the improvement of the wine making process for the red wine as well as the white wines, is constantly worked on with love and craftsmanship. They combine the best Spanish traditions considering the growing and processing of the grapes, with the use of new insights and techniques.

The Tempranilla and the Mazuelo grape are the basic ingredients for this Gran Reserva. A warm blooded wine with a unique flavour, constituted by the warm winds from the dry Sierra de Cantabria that collide with the cooler winds from the Mediterranean and an ideal humidity due to the river Ebro.
